How we test and review
Every review follows the same checklist so products are judged by the same rules.
Our process
- Define the question. What is this product for, and who is it for?
- Purchase and inspect. We buy products ourselves where possible and read the full label and packaging.
- Check testing. We look for third-party certificates of analysis, match batch numbers where we can, and note what each report does and does not cover. See how to read a COA.
- Compare to research. We compare ingredient doses to those used in published studies and note the strength of the evidence.
- Consider the user. Taste, tolerance, price per serving and who should avoid the product.
- Publish and update. We date each page and revise it when evidence or products change.
What we check
| Area | Questions we ask |
|---|---|
| Label accuracy | Are doses clear? Any proprietary blends that hide amounts? |
| Testing | Independent lab? Potency, heavy metals, microbes? Does the batch match? |
| Evidence | Do the ingredients and doses match what research supports? |
| Ingredients | Form, quality, additives, sweeteners and allergens. |
| Value | Cost per serving and per useful dose. |
Affiliate links and independence
We may earn a commission when you buy through our links. That does not change our verdict, and we do not accept payment for favorable coverage. We mark paid product links as sponsored. See our editorial standards and affiliate disclosure.
Limits
A review reflects one product at one time. Formulas change, and individual responses differ. Nothing here is medical advice.
