Editorial standards
The rules we hold ourselves to, so you know what to expect from every page.
Accuracy and sources
We base health information on reputable sources, such as government health agencies, peer-reviewed research and recognized professional bodies. Each article lists its main sources. We distinguish between strong evidence, limited evidence and marketing claims, and we say when something is uncertain.
Independence
Affiliate relationships never determine what we write or how we rate a product. We do not accept payment in exchange for positive coverage. Where we have a commercial relationship with a product we link to, we say so.
Claims we avoid
We do not claim that any product diagnoses, treats, cures or prevents disease. We avoid words like 'detox' and 'cleanse' unless discussing and debunking them, and we do not publish fabricated testimonials, ratings or statistics.
Updates and corrections
Pages show a last-updated date. If you spot an error, tell us. We review corrections promptly and note significant changes on the page.
Who we write for
Adult general readers. Our content is educational, and it does not replace personal medical advice. See our medical disclaimer.
